During the summer term, Community Engagement Coordinators (CECs) focus on strategic planning, collaboration, and content development to prepare the Center for Academic Success (CAS) for the upcoming academic year. This period is dedicated to building the foundation for first-year engagement, outreach, and programming.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with the Director of Operations and the Peer Advisor Coordinators through weekly meetings to guide project direction, collaborate with campus partners, and support first-year engagement and retention goals. Collaborate to develop innovative approaches to first-year engagement, ensuring alignment with CAS goals around belonging, retention, and academic success. Create and publish consistent, student-centered content across all active social media platforms, including event promotions, reminders, student highlights, and community storytelling. Create a comprehensive academic and engagement calendar for the fall semester that includes: Key academic milestones (e.g., add/drop, midterms, finals) High-impact engagement opportunities and campus-wide initiatives Strategic outreach timing based on student needs and transition periodsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Successfully contributed to the CAS Social Media Team for one full semester and was selected for hire. Will have completed at least 30 credits by May 15, 2026. Will be registered for at least 12 credits for Fall 2026, unless otherwise approved. Will maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher, with no incomplete grades. Is in good judicial standing with the University and have no active or unresolved conduct issues on my record.
