Scranton, PA (In-Office Position) The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce is seeking a creative, collaborative, and strategic professional to serve as Director of MarketingCommunications. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing marketing, communications, branding, public relations, and community engagement efforts for the Chamber and its affiliated organizations. The Director of MarketingCommunications plays a key role in shaping organizational storytelling, strengthening brand visibility, promoting events and initiatives, and enhancing audience engagement across digital, print, and multimedia platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership, staff, community partners, and external stakeholders to advance the Chamber's mission of supporting businesses, strengthening communities, and driving regional growth throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Chamber and affiliates' marketing, communications, branding, and public relations strategies Develop and implement communications plans that support organizational initiatives, events, member engagement, and community outreach Maintain consistent brand identity and messaging across all Chamber and affiliate communications Oversee digital storytelling initiatives including social media, video, photography, website content, email marketing, and multimedia communications Develop strategies to enhance audience engagement and grow the Chamber and affiliates' digital presence across multiple platforms Collaborate with internal staff and external vendors to create marketing materials including brochures, advertisements, newsletters, campaigns, and promotional content Serve as a primary media contact and assist with public relations efforts for the Chamber and its affiliates Develop speeches, press releases, newsletters, and other written communications Coordinate media opportunities, interviews, press events, and community-facing initiatives Represent the Chamber and affiliates at business, civic, networking, and community events Manage communications staff members, interns, freelancers, and project contractors Develop and monitor departmental budgets and marketing-related expenditures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field required Five or more years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field Three or more years of leadership, supervisory, or project management experience preferred Strong understanding of marketing, branding, communications, public relations, and audience engagement strategies Experience with social media strategy, digital engagement, content creation, and multimedia storytelling Experience with video production and digital content initiatives Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency with graphic design and content creation platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Why Join the Chamber?
