Director of Development and Community Engagement 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars York, PA 17401 Full-time Shadowfax 49 reviews Full-time The Director of Development and Community Engagement is responsible for designing, leading, and executing a comprehensive fundraising and community outreach strategy to advance the mission of the organization. This role oversees donor relations, grant development, corporate partnerships, events, and community engagement initiatives to ensure sustainable revenue growth and strong community presence. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including individual giving, major gifts, grants, corporate sponsorships, and events Set and achieve annual fundraising goals in collaboration with leadership Build, cultivate, and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners Research, write, and manage grant proposals and required reporting Plan and oversee fundraising events and community campaigns Strengthen community partnerships and represent the organization at local events and networking opportunities Collaborate with marketing and communications teams on fundraising materials and campaigns Supervise development staff and volunteers while supporting a culture of accountability and mission alignment Provide regular fundraising reports and strategic updates to executive leadership and the Board Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, and/or business in a leadership role Strong experience with donor relations, grant writing, and fundraising strategy Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities An equivalent combination of the stated education and experience will be considered. Preferred Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) certification
