Job Description

LegiAct helps school districts and educational organizations launch and strengthen implementation of the California State Seal of Civic Engagement, a state-authorized civic recognition program established through California Assembly Bill 24 (2017). Our work focuses on helping districts: Develop Seal implementation plans Align civic engagement opportunities with state guidance Support teachers and administrators with practical rollout strategies Increase student participation in civic learning and community engagement Build sustainable district-wide civic engagement frameworks We are seeking motivated outreach representatives and appointment setters to help connect LegiAct with school districts, administrators, charter organizations, county offices of education, and educational leaders across California. What You'll Do Conduct outreach to school districts, county offices of education, charter networks, and educational organizations Schedule meetings and consultations with district administrators and decision-makers Introduce educational leaders to LegiAct's consulting services related to the State Seal of Civic Engagement Follow up with leads through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other communication channels Help identify partnership opportunities within K-12 education Track outreach activity and appointment metrics Collaborate on messaging and campaign strategies Ideal Candidate Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable speaking with administrators and education professionals Self-motivated and organized Interest in education, civics, public policy, government, or community engagement Experience in outreach, appointment setting, education, sales, political organizing, nonprofit work, or customer relations is a plus Familiarity with California education systems is helpful but not required Compensation Commission-based compensation structure Performance bonuses available Advancement opportunities as LegiAct expands statewide Potential long-term opportunities in outreach, partnerships, advocacy, and educational consulting Compensation may include: Commission per qualified district contract Revenue share on secured consulting partnerships Bonuses tied to outreach performance Why Join LegiAct?
