Job Description
My client, Stark County Mental Health and Addiction Recovery (StarkMHAR) , is seeking a Community Engagement and Prevention Coordinator to lead and support community-based initiatives focused on suicide prevention, overdose prevention, and behavioral health awareness throughout Stark County. Key Responsibilities Coordinate coalition activities, community events, and prevention initiatives Facilitate meetings and strategic planning for community coalitions and task forces Manage grant-related activities, budgets, data collection, and reporting Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders Provide technical assistance related to coalition development and prevention strategies Represent StarkMHAR at community events, trainings, and state-level meetings Support evidence-based approaches to suicide and overdose prevention Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science field required; Master's preferred Minimum 3 years of coalition, community engagement, or prevention experience Experience in behavioral health, substance use prevention, or public health preferred Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant (OCPSA) certification or willingness to obtain within one year Strong communication, organization, and project management skills Salary & Benefits Starting salary range: $44,885-$53,300 Health insurance beginning the 1st of the month after hire Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) Vacation and sick leave accrual from day one 5 personal days and 10 paid holidays annually Professional development and educational assistance opportunities Flexible and remote work options available for eligible positions Why Join StarkMHAR?
