The Development Associate reports to and works closely with the Chief Impact Officer to support the goals and initiatives of the Development department.Job Highlights:
Cultivate, steward, and expand relationships with donors contributing under $2,500 annually. Execute donor Thank You letters and phone Thank You calls. Use Moves Management principles and CRM platform to track donor contacts Work with The Encore Club's Chairman to coordinate and support club initiatives, events, and member engagement. Plan and execute Key Chorale's Spring Campaign in odd-numbered years and The Giving Challenge campaign in even-numbered years, with a focus on small-donor engagement and retention. Guide and grow Key Chorale's planned giving program, The Sostenuto Legacy Society . Manage and promote Key Chorale's audience development initiative, The Ambassador Program , including guest tracking and post-performance follow-up communications. Conduct corporate sponsorship and underwriting solicitations for Season 42 performances, including Cirque des Voix and Illuminate. Attend Key Chorale performances, events, and designated organizational functions.Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor relations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain donor relationships.
- Experience with donor databases/CRM systems and/or gift tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently in a remote work environment.
- Experience planning and executing fundraising campaigns.
- Familiarity with planned giving programs and donor stewardship strategies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Availability to attend evening and weekend performances, events, and organizational functions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in donor communications.
