Job Description
Position Overview The Wilco Long-Term Recovery Group (Wilco LTRG) is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven professional to serve as its first Director of Long-Term Recovery. This role provides leadership, coordination, and administrative support to ensure a strong, equitable, and audit-ready long-term recovery system for Williamson County. The Director works closely with the Greater Taylor COAD, county departments, nonprofit partners, and regional VOAD networks to support survivors and strengthen community resilience. The position is employed by the Central Texas Community Foundation and physically co-located within Williamson County Emergency Services to enhance coordination. Key Responsibilities Coordination & Facilitation Lead LTRG committees, Work Groups, and Executive Committee meetings Maintain communication between COAD preparedness efforts and LTRG recovery operations Track case flow across Disaster Case Management, Unmet Needs, and Wilco Cares Identify bottlenecks and support partners in resolving delays Maintain meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions Compliance & Documentation Maintain audit-ready records, policies, and reporting Ensure alignment with National VOAD standards, FEMA expectations, and county requirements Track Memorandums Of Understanding (MOUs), partner commitments, and resource inventories Maintain secure document storage and version control Support financial documentation with the fiscal agent (CTXCF) Partnership & Communication Serve as primary liaison to county departments, nonprofit partners, and VOAD networks Support public information, community engagement, and partner communication Maintain consistent messaging and information flow Represent the LTRG in regional coordination meetings and trainings Preparedness & Sustainability Coordinate and deliver community disaster preparedness training Lead planning for an Annual Regional Community Preparedness Event Build sponsorships, vendor partnerships, and training opportunities Generate sustainable revenue to support the Director position and LTRG operations Strengthen continuity between preparedness, response, and long-term recovery Qualifications Required Experience in disaster recovery, emergency management, or nonprofit coordination Strong organizational, facilitation, and project management skills Ability to manage complex, multi-partner systems with professionalism and diplomacy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance Experience working with diverse partners and vulnerable populations Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Familiarity with National VOAD standards and long-term recovery structures Experience with FEMA programs, Disaster Case Management, or
COAD/LTRG
