Approximately 10-15 hours per week, with increased involvement during major initiatives, sponsorship campaigns, partnership development efforts, and organizational events.

POSITION OVERVIEW
BeYOUtiful is seeking a passionate, relationship-driven, and mission-focused Director of Partnerships & Development to join our Founding Leadership Team. This volunteer leadership role is responsible for developing strategic partnerships, cultivating community relationships, securing sponsorship opportunities, and helping build the financial and organizational support necessary to advance BeYOUtiful's mission. The Director of Partnerships & Development serves as the operational leader of the Partnerships & Development Department, helping establish sustainable funding pipelines, strengthen community connections, and create mutually beneficial relationships that expand the organization's reach and impact. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, relationship-building, community engagement, business development, and helping mission-driven organizations grow through strategic partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership Development & Strategy Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with local businesses, corporations, nonprofit organizations, community groups, and strategic partners. Develop and execute partnership strategies aligned with BeYOUtiful's mission and organizational goals. Identify opportunities for collaboration that expand organizational impact and community reach. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective partners and supporters. Assist in shaping the long-term vision and growth of BeYOUtiful's partnerships and development efforts. Sponsorship & Resource Development Develop sponsorship opportunities for events, programs, and organizational initiatives. Create and present partnership and sponsorship proposals. Cultivate relationships with current and prospective sponsors. Help identify new funding opportunities and revenue-generating partnerships. Support the development of sustainable funding strategies that strengthen the organization's long-term impact. Assist in creating sponsorship packages, partnership materials, and outreach resources. Leadership & Team Management Provide leadership, direction, and support to the Community Outreach Coordinator and Development Coordinator. Delegate responsibilities appropriately to coordinators and volunteers. Conduct regular check-ins with direct reports to ensure projects remain on track. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven team culture. Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and developing volunteers within the Partnerships & Development Department. Ensure volunteers and coordinators have the resources, information, and support needed to succeed. Build and develop the Partnerships & Development Department by helping establish systems, processes, and best practices that support future organizational growth. Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions and achievements. Community Representation & Relationship Building Serve as an ambassador for BeYOUtiful within the community. Represent the organization at networking events, community meetings, conferences, and partnership opportunities. Advocate for BeYOUtiful's mission, programs, and community impact. Build authentic relationships that strengthen the organization's reputation and visibility. Foster meaningful connections between BeYOUtiful and community stakeholders. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with the Executive Director, COO, and leadership team to align partnership efforts with organizational priorities. Collaborate with the Programs & Events Department to support sponsorship and partnership opportunities for organizational events. Partner with the Marketing & Communications team to promote sponsors, partners, and collaborative initiatives. Attend and actively participate in weekly leadership team meetings. Participate in organizational planning and strategic discussions. Reporting & Accountability Maintain accurate records of partnership outreach, sponsor engagement, and relationship activity. Provide regular updates to the COO and Executive Director. Track partnership growth, sponsorship activity, and development outcomes. Monitor and evaluate partnership effectiveness and community impact. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and organizational growth. Help establish systems and processes that support long-term organizational sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Passion for women's empowerment, community development, and nonprofit service. Experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, sales, community engagement, relationship management, or nonprofit leadership. Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to initiate conversations, build trust, and maintain professional relationships. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Experience securing sponsorships, partnerships, fundraising support, or business relationships is preferred. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.
