Job Description

Donor Experience Officer PAE-Annual Programs - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - ( 26003098 ) The Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) at the University of Pittsburgh builds meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders to advance the University's mission in education, research, and healthcare. We invite you to join our team as a Donor Experience Officer (DXO). Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Individual Giving, the DXO serves as a core member of the Individual Giving team. This role is ideal for an energetic, digital‑first fundraiser who uses modern communication tools to steward donors, express gratitude, and secure philanthropic support across multiple schools and colleges. The DXO strengthens Pitt's major, principal, and planned giving pipelines by engaging alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and staff through video, social media, digital outreach, and in‑person interactions. The position manages a large portfolio of leadership annual giving donors, focusing primarily on DSAS and CGS, and solicits annual gifts ranging from $1,000 to $50,000. The DXO develops personalized strategies to increase donor retention and collaborates with colleagues across PAE to support initiatives such as Pitt Day of Giving, the Chancellor's Circle, and other engagement opportunities. Key Responsibilities Donor Development — Share compelling impact stories that inspire giving and strengthen donor connection. Portfolio Management — Manage a high‑volume portfolio to deepen relationships between assigned colleges and leadership annual giving donors. Pipeline Growth — Partner with Individual Giving colleagues to identify, cultivate, and elevate donors into the major gift pipeline. Why Join Us?

Job Summary Builds partnerships that strengthen existing donor relationships and identifies, cultivates, stewards, and solicits contributions. Facilitates stewardship evaluations and determines corresponding University and prospective interests. Essential Functions Use of phone and computer, verbal, and written communications. Ability to sit/stand at a computer for a full workday. Ability to attend meetings virtually and/or in person on/off campus. Physical Effort Little physical effort required.
