Job Description

Role Summary This role owns all regulatory strategy and government engagement required to operate and scale Alto Cirra's systems across state and federal jurisdictions. Responsibilities Lead all FAA, state, and local regulatory engagement Manage permits, compliance frameworks, and operational approvals Build relationships with water districts, state agencies, and federal aviation stakeholders Shape policy positioning around autonomous aerial climate operations Support contracting pathways with government and quasi-public entities Monitor regulatory shifts and proactively adapt operational strategy Requirements 5-12+ years in government affairs, aviation regulation, aerospace policy, or defense contracting Strong familiarity with FAA frameworks and UAS regulatory pathways Experience working with federal/state agencies or legislative bodies Ability to translate technical systems into policy-ready language
Bonus:
experience in aviation, climate policy, or infrastructure regulation
