Position Overview The Manager of Member Growth is responsible for driving sustainable player growth across all club programs, including competitive teams, pre-national, national league, development program, Little Wanderers, and clinics. This role leads strategic new member initiatives, community engagement efforts, and partnership development to increase player registration and strengthen the club's presence in the local soccer landscape. The ideal candidate is energetic, relationship-driven, data-informed, and passionate about youth development through sport. This individual understands the competitive youth soccer market and can build systems that consistently attract and retain new families. Primary Responsibilities Strategic Member Growth Develop and execute a comprehensive annual new member strategy aligned with club growth targets. Identify and pursue new player pipelines including grassroots programs, local leagues, futsal centers, and schools. Track and analyze registration data to evaluate trends, conversion rates, and program performance. Set measurable acquisition goals and provide monthly reporting to club leadership. Community Outreach & Partnerships Establish and maintain relationships with local schools, recreation departments, and community organizations. Coordinate school clinics, community events, free training sessions, and open houses. Represent the club at training, matches, tournaments, community festivals, and local events. Develop referral programs and ambassador initiatives to incentivize current member recruitment. Marketing & Lead Generation Collaborate with staff to execute digital campaigns (email, social media, paid ads). Manage player inquiry pipelines and ensure timely follow-up and conversion. Oversee promotional materials, website registration funnels, and program messaging. Support content creation highlighting player development pathways and club culture. Player ID & Program Entry Management Organize and promote seasonal player ID and evaluation events. Coordinate communication with prospective families from initial inquiry through registration. Work closely with coaching staff to ensure smooth onboarding and player placement. Retention Collaboration Partner with coaching directors to identify and address retention risks. Gather feedback from new members to improve onboarding experience. Monitor satisfaction trends that influence referral growth. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Year-over-year player growth percentage Conversion rate from inquiry to registration Tryout attendance growth Retention rate of first-year players Revenue growth from new registrations Desired Qualifications Experience 3-5+ years in youth sports administration, soccer club management, or sports marketing. Proven track record in membership growth, sales, or business development. Experience within competitive youth soccer environments strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Data-driven decision-making ability. Sales mindset with consultative approach to family engagement. Knowledge of youth club soccer industry in the New England region. Ability to manage CRM systems and registration platforms. Strong organizational and project management skills. Public speaking confidence and community presence. High energy and entrepreneurial mindset. Technical Skills Familiarity with PlayMetrics Basic marketing knowledge (email campaigns, social media strategy, digital advertising). Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
