Job Description

Job Title:
Manager, Scientific Communications Job Description As a Manager of Scientific Communications, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely medical information in response to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain a strong scientific and clinical understanding of therapeutic areas and products. Your role will include developing and disseminating materials that incorporate clinical data and relevant literature, and contributing to the Medical Affairs Content Council to ensure consistency and scientific integrity. Responsibilities Act as a subject matter expert for products and relevant disease states. Respond to medical information inquiries to relay accurate and balanced information. Recognize and report adverse drug events and product quality complaints in a timely manner. Document interactions with external stakeholders in the medical information database. Document and respond to medical information requests facilitated by internal stakeholders. Write, review, and maintain standard response letters and custom response letters. Perform literature searches to identify supporting evidence for written responses. Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and interpretation of medical data. Support Medical Affairs with developing branded and non-branded medical materials. Support the development of monthly medical affairs bulletins. Utilize AI tools to aid in productivity. Support other workstreams and functions within Medical Affairs. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and guidance. Essential Skills PharmD with 1 year of related experience in the pharmaceutical industry or RN with 5 years of related experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to transform complex scientific information into clear and engaging content. Proficiency in standard business software, particularly Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Ability to manage and prioritize writing projects with competing deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of medical or scientific writing experience in pharma, biotech, or agency. Advanced degree (MD, PhD, MPH, MS, or PharmD preferred). Writing samples may be requested.
ISMPP CMPP
certification preferred. Experience in oncology and hematology is preferred. Work Environment The role offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days in the office per week, with the option for fully remote work for a suitable candidate. The position requires working EST hours, including after-hours calls. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Watchung, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
