  • Full-time Position Summary The Marketing and Community Engagement Manager provides hands-on leadership for the marketing, outreach, and fundraising events.
Coordinates the logistics and execution of events. The Marketing and Community Engagement Manager also manages the front desks operations. The Marketing and Community Engagement Manager is responsible for all social media and the volunteer program. Key Responsibilities Fundraising and pet adoption events
  • Responsible for grant writing, donation solicitation, and coordination and execution of fundraisers.
  • Develop and organize new fundraising ideas.
  • Manages fundraising committees; working closely with the Board of Directors, manage all marketing efforts, handle Public Relations (PR), and serve as event emcee.
Staff & Volunteer Leadership Manage front desk staff and volunteer coordination. Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members. Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage. Promote a collaborative, mission-driven culture. Address performance issues and resolve conflicts professionally. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal animal welfare regulations. Maintain accurate animal records and required reporting. Oversee safety protocols for staff, volunteers, animals, and visitors. Participate in emergency planning and response. Financial Oversight Assist with budget preparation and monitor operational expenses. Approve operational purchases within budget guidelines. Support fundraising efforts and provide operational insight for grant applications. Community Engagement Serve as a professional representative of the Humane Society. Address public concerns and handle sensitive situations with empathy. Build positive relationships with community partners and rescue organizations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. 3-5+ years of supervisory and marketing and/or customer service. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and cleaning. Exposure to animals, cleaning chemicals, and high noise levels. Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
