OTP Peer Recovery Specialist Community Engagement

Job Summary Join our team and help make recovery visible, accessible, and stigma-free. We are seeking a passionate and motivated OTP Peer Recovery Specialist to support individuals in the community who may benefit from Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) services. This role focuses on outreach, engagement, education, advocacy, and helping individuals feel supported—not judged—while exploring recovery options.

Responsibilities:

Conduct community outreach and engage individuals who may benefit from OTP services Educate the public about medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and recovery resources Help combat stigma surrounding addiction and OTP treatment Build relationships with hospitals, shelters, recovery homes, community agencies, and referral sources Share lived recovery experience to inspire hope and encourage treatment engagement Assist individuals with connecting to treatment, resources, and recovery supports Participate in community events, health fairs, and outreach activities Support patient retention and ongoing recovery engagement

Qualifications:

Certified Peer Recovery Specialist preferred Lived experience in recovery strongly encouraged Knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery resources, and harm reduction principles Strong communication and community engagement skills Passion for helping others and advocating for recovery
