The Opportunity This role is ideal for a strategic, detail‑driven fundraiser who thrives at the intersection of events, relationships and mission-centered storytelling. You will help plan, coordinate and execute two high‑visibility fundraising initiatives - Meat Fest and the Color It Blue campaign - moving ideas into action, strengthening donor engagement and keeping timelines on track. The following is an illustrative and not exhaustive list of required or desired qualifications and general responsibilities. What Success Looks Like In year one, exceed Meat Fest's prior‑year fundraising goal by 10%. Secure at least 5 new organizational partners for the 2027 Color It Blue campaign. Campaign and event timelines are clear, organized and on track; details are managed proactively. Donors, sponsors and partners feel informed, appreciated and followed up with promptly. The core team feels supported, not stretched thinner. Primary Responsibilities 1) Meat Fest — Fundraising & Event Coordination Collaborate with the planning committee to deliver a fully organized, effective event. Support fundraising strategy and day‑of execution; lead sponsor outreach, tracking and follow‑ups. Coordinate donor, sponsor and vendor communications; manage timelines, deadlines and logistics. Maintain accurate fundraising and contact records. 2) Color It Blue — Campaign & Community Engagement Assist with campaign planning and execution across marketing, logistics, event planning and partner engagement. Support peer‑to‑peer fundraising, outreach to individuals/teams/community groups, and partnership cultivation. Track participation, donations and follow‑ups; ensure messaging and asks align with campaign goals; support stewardship and thank‑you efforts. 3) Marketing & Communications (in partnership with staff/partners) Draft donor‑facing communications (emails, updates, reminders) and coordinate toolkits/collateral for campaigns. Partner on message alignment for donor segments; help ensure brand and voice consistency across materials. Track engagement indicators (e.g., email performance, social lift, P2P participation dashboards) to inform iteration. 4) Data & CRM Maintain organized records in the CRM or tracking tools; monitor progress toward campaign and event goals. Flag opportunities, challenges or gaps early; support light reporting for team visibility. 5) Collaboration & Project Management Work cross‑functionally with staff, volunteers and partners; keep the team informed and close loops. Required Qualifications & Competencies Required 5+ years of fundraising, development or nonprofit experience. 1-2 years of event planning or campaign coordination. Experience with community outreach/partnership development. CRM/donor database proficiency. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to pass background checks (including criminal). Preferred Experience supporting peer‑to‑peer fundraising and securing event sponsorships. Familiarity with campaign reporting/metrics and donor segmentation. Contract & Logistics Schedule:

Part‑time, contract; hybrid in Charlotte with on‑site presence during key events.

Hours:

Approximately 250 hours with room to grow. Evenings and weekends are expected during event times.

Duration:

The Color It Blue campaign culminates in April while Meat Fest takes place in October. Planning occurs year-round with primary execution taking place 4-6 months prior to the event or campaign.
