Job Description
Social Media Community Manager — Paid Summer Project Engagement myPawPair is a one-stop pet care companion app supporting pet owners through every stage of their pet's life — health and safety resources, trusted local providers, and personalised care guidance all in one place. We lead with the companion experience, not the technology. Launching in the East Bay, May 30. This is a primarily remote, project-based engagement running now through the end of August 2026, with 1-2 required in-person appearances including our May 30 launch event. You will develop and deliver monthly social media content across Instagram, TikTok, Nextdoor, and LinkedIn — writing captions, scheduling content, engaging with our community, and delivering Instagram Live coverage at the May 30 launch event as the first milestone of the engagement. Each month includes a performance report — establishing baseline follower counts, reach, and engagement benchmarks in June, and reflecting month-over-month growth and top-performing content through July and August. You are a fit if you: Have managed brand social media accounts on Instagram and/or TikTok Write captions that sound human, warm, and specific — not generic Know how to engage a community through comments, DMs, and responses Can build and stick to a content calendar independently Are comfortable managing a live stream on camera Are a self-starter who owns deadlines without being chased Have a genuine love for animals
Compensation:
Performance-based payment of $2,500 for the summer, paid in four milestone-based installments tied to approved deliverables. W-9 required before first payment. Independent contractor engagement subject to applicable California law.
