Social Media Manager — Gas Monkey Garage
Location:
Dallas, Texas (In-Person) Role Summary Gas Monkey Garage is seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Manager to lead the daily execution and growth of our digital presence across multiple brands. This role is central to how Gas Monkey shows up to millions of fans every day—capturing the energy, personality, and authenticity that define the brand. The ideal candidate is a hands-on content creator and strategist who thrives in a fast-paced, real-time environment. You will be responsible for producing, managing, and optimizing high-volume content across platforms, ensuring each brand maintains a distinct voice while driving engagement and growth. This position requires both creative instincts and operational discipline—someone who can capture compelling moments on the fly, edit quickly, write with precision, and make data-informed decisions. This is an in-person role based in Dallas, embedded within the day-to-day action of the shop, events, and productions. What You'll Do You will manage and execute social media strategy across multiple brands, including:
  • Gas Monkey Garage (Meta, TikTok, X)
  • Richard R. Rawlings (Meta, TikTok, X)
  • Gas Monkey Icehouse (Meta)
  • Gas Monkey Sturgis (Seasonal) (Meta)
  • Gas Monkey Buys (Meta) Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Capture original content on-site (primarily iPhone), including behind-the-scenes footage, shop activity, events, trends and real-time moments
  • Edit short-form video and photo content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, etc.)
  • Write platform-specific captions that align with each brand's voice
  • Publish and schedule content across all platforms (Meta, TikTok, X, etc.)
  • Manage high-volume content scheduling, including bulk posting from long-form YouTube assets
  • Organize and maintain content pipelines, including labeling, storage, and calendar planning, remove spam
  • Monitor comments and direct messages; actively engage with the audience and maintain community standards
  • Stay current with social media trends and quickly adapt content to capitalize on them
  • Track performance metrics and provide insights to inform ongoing content strategy What We're Looking For
  • 2-5 years of experience managing social media accounts (experience with large audiences is a plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and emerging platforms
  • Proven experience managing high-volume content workflows and scheduling systems
  • Ability to shoot and edit high-quality content on mobile devices (composition, pacing, storytelling)
  • Proficiency in editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone across multiple brand voices
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to execute without constant oversight
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills Bonus Qualifications
