This individual will play a key role in driving census growth through strategic relationship building, community education, and referral development. The ideal candidate is energetic, professional, compassionate, and highly motivated, with strong healthcare sales and relationship management experience. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining referral partnerships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, case managers, and community organizations while educating healthcare professionals and families on hospice services and eligibility. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping patients and families access compassionate end-of-life care while contributing to the organization's continued growth and success. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic marketing and outreach plans to increase awareness of hospice services within the community and healthcare market Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, social workers, discharge planners, and other referral sources Conduct educational presentations and in-services regarding hospice philosophy, eligibility, and services Identify new business opportunities and referral partnerships to support census growth goals Manage assigned referral territories and maintain regular contact with referral partners through scheduled visits and follow-up communication Represent the organization at networking events, health fairs, and community outreach activities Collaborate closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure smooth coordination of referrals and admissions Track referral activity, outreach efforts, and marketing goals through CRM systems and reporting tools Utilize market analysis and reporting to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and organizational guidelines related to hospice marketing practices Provide excellent customer service and timely communication to patients, families, referral partners, and community contacts Assist leadership with development and implementation of marketing initiatives and growth strategies Maintain a positive and professional representation of the organization at all times Qualifications Previous experience in hospice marketing, healthcare marketing, medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, or business development preferred Strong understanding of hospice philosophy, eligibility, and healthcare referral processes preferred Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships within the healthcare community Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, presentation, and time management abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with CRM systems and referral tracking preferred Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance required Compensation Salary dependent on experience, qualifications, and hospice/healthcare background.
Starting Salary Range:
