The Community Engagement Coordinator will serve as a key ambassador for Juan Diego Academy Catholic Regional High School, promoting the school as a Catholic high school of choice through outreach, marketing, managing volunteer initiatives and events, while also developing partnerships and securing sponsorships, donations, and resources that advance the school's mission and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in program development, and a passion for social impact. The position offers an opportunity to make a tangible difference while working in a collaborative environment committed to community well-being. Duties Serve as the public representative of Juan Diego Academy in the community, promoting the school's Catholic identity, mission, and academic excellence . Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, civic leaders, parishes, and feeder schools to strengthen the JDA brand and encourage community involvement. Plan and execute promotional events such as Day at the Hill, Open House, Feeder School Visits, Catholic Schools Week Activities, and Community Service Events. Collaborate with marketing and admissions to design and distribute promotional materials (print, digital, and social media). Maintain regular contact with parishes and feeder schools to increase visibility and enrollment interest. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and community partners. Develop sponsorship packages for JDA events such as the Annual Golf Tournament, Gala, and Student Retreats. Assist in writing donor appeals, acknowledgment letters, and community reports. Work with the Advancement Committee and Principal to create and maintain a yearly community engagement plan aligned with school needs. Track and report donations, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions. Develop and maintain a database of alumni, donors, and community supporters. Coordinate alumni activities and communications, fostering continued support and engagement. Collaborate with the Parent Association to build stronger home-school partnerships. Plan, organize, and support special events that promote the mission and visibility of JDA, including recruitment events, appreciation luncheons, donor receptions, and community service days. Assist with logistics, scheduling, and promotion of events across departments. Full-time, 12-month position. Flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for events. Reports to the Principal and works closely with the Admissions and Advancement Teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in community relations, advancement, marketing, sales or nonprofit development (preferably in an educational or Catholic setting). Strong verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual required). Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media platforms. Understanding and support of the Catholic mission and values of Juan Diego Academy. Strong public speaking abilities for engaging diverse audiences Expertise in program development, project management, and strategic planning Proficiency in marketing strategies and social media Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration Skilled in fundraising efforts including grant writing and donor engagement Administrative experience including record keeping and scheduling coordination Recruiting skills for attracting volunteers and partners Skills Commitment to Catholic faith and mission-centered education. Self-starter with initiative and creativity. Collaborative and team-oriented approach. Professional presence and effective networking skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
