Job Description
Position Description The Community Liaison is responsible for developing key relationships in an assigned community that will assist the university in meeting its fundraising, programming and community awareness goals by conducting programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). Major/Essential Functions Develop and implement community outreach strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders in order to understand community needs, communicate those needs to the organization, and ensure that the organization's initiatives and services are effectively communicated and accessible to the community. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement programs that address community needs and priorities. This role involves frequent travel across multiple counties in West Texas and New Mexico. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications. Experience in community engagement, outreach or similar roles. Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience to equal seven years.
