Job Description

The Coordinator of Community Engagement assists in planning and carrying out Center and HOPE Pantry programming, events, and services. This position oversees the Community Engagement Center AmeriCorps program, as well as student employees who assist with these functions. Assist in program planning, coordination, and oversight for Community Engagement Center volunteer programs, events, and the campus HOPE Pantry. Manage the Community Engagement Center's AmeriCorps program. Oversee the onboarding, training and oversight of student employees. Assist in the support and oversight of a team of student program leaders. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience. Strong computer skills, including practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Suite programs. Experience in event planning and management. Ability to work with varied groups and contribute to a climate of belonging. Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Valid driver's license and ability to obtain
Utah Division of Risk Management Driver's Certification Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a campus environment. Experience with community or civic engagement programs. Familiarity with the Cedar City and Iron County community. Experience with data-tracking, reporting, and program assessment. This position is contingent on funding. Due to recent changes in H1B visa fees, Southern Utah University is no longer able to sponsor international faculty and staff that require an H1B visa and are currently living outside of the United States.
