Responsibilities / Position

overview The VP, Scientific Services provides strategic oversight of high-impact publications/scientific communications accounts, and supervises a team of scientific directors and medical writers. This role serves as a strategic partner to clients and actively contributes to business development and organic growth of accounts. Key Responsibilities; Oversee high-impact publications/scientific communications accounts for medical affairs clients Direct strategy and approach to communication activities, including but not limited to strategic publication planning/execution, evidence/landscape analyses, and scientific narrative development Play an active role in mentoring staff, building competency of scientific strategy among the team to support the business Add value to assigned client accounts as Senior Scientific Strategy Lead Lead strategically-focused client interactions and moderation of workshops/meetings Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative solutions to client challenges; foster opportunities for expanded client interaction and engagement Lead scientific component of proposals and pitch presentations by providing strategic insight and therapeutic background information and guidance to the project team Create opportunities for new business through professional contacts, quality work, and positive relationships with clients Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative solutions to client challenges; fosters opportunities for expanded client interaction and engagement Participates in department leadership activities and management duties, including but not limited to, developing guidelines, revising department policies and procedures

Qualifications Required Skills:

Flexible, deadline oriented, and ability to work as part of a multifunctional team Excellent communication skills Excellent working knowledge of good publication practices and industry guidelines (CMPP preferred) Ability to quickly and amicably respond to changing client needs and conditions Ability to evaluate, interpret and analyze both written and verbal communications Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters cooperation and teamwork Understand and comply with policies and procedures as outlined in the Lumanity Corporate Policies and Procedures manual

Education and Experience:
