This vital role is responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships within the community, leading innovative fundraising initiatives, and managing comprehensive development programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing organizational missions through strategic planning, effective communication, and robust relationship management. As a key driver of growth, this position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our organization by engaging diverse stakeholders and expanding our impact. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including grant proposal writing, digital marketing campaigns, and special events management to maximize revenue streams. As member of the Admin Team, help create annual agency budgets for board of directors approval. Manage team of four development professionals, ensuring the meeting of agency wide development goals. Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with donors, community partners, volunteers, and other key stakeholders through targeted outreach and engagement initiatives. Oversee all aspects of event planning, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring impactful experiences that promote organizational goals. Manage databases such as Raiser's Edge to streamline data collection, donor tracking, and communication efforts. Lead public relations efforts to enhance organizational visibility through media relations, social media management, and community outreach activities. Collaborate with internal teams on strategic planning efforts to align development goals with organizational mission and vision. Prepare compelling proposals for grants and sponsorships; monitor budgets; analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness; and report outcomes to stakeholders. Qualifications 7- 10 years proven experience in nonprofit management, with 3-5 years in leadership, with a strong background in fundraising, relationship management, and community engagement. Demonstrated expertise in event planning, digital marketing platforms (Constant Contact, Mailchimp), CRM software (Raiser's Edge, Salesforce), and social media management. Excellent proposal writing skills with a track record of securing grants and sponsorships from diverse sources. Strong negotiation skills coupled with experience in estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail; proficiency in budgeting and events management is essential. Familiarity with university settings or nonprofit organizations enhances understanding of complex stakeholder environments. Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to foster collaborative relationships across teams.
