DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Each day is different in theUNAC/UHCP
Communications department?and that?s just the way we like it. Duties can include any of the following. ? Write, design and produce flyers, email blasts, website posts, mailers and other member communications in conjunction with the representation, organizing, political, member engagement and community benefit work of the Union. ? Design social media, email and web graphics. ? Film and edit high-quality videos featuring health care professionals. ? Tell the union?s story via social media, including collaborating with co-workers to build social media campaigns around key issues. ? Responsible for online advocacy campaigns. ? PrepareUNAC/UHCP
members and potential members to be interviewed by the media. ? Write and disseminate press releases as part of a media plan. ? Build relationships with online and offline media, pitch reporters and author op-eds. ? Research, write and message news of the Union. ? Attends biennialUNAC/UHCP
convention. ? AttendsUNAC/UHCP
staff meetings. ? Other duties as assigned.DIRECTIONS AND DECISION MAKING
This position reports to, and works under the direction of, the Communications Director and/orUNAC/UHCP
