Digital Media & Communications Specialist AmeriCorps - 4.3 Los Angeles, CA Job Details Full-time 18 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Bachelor's degree Community relationship building Full Job Description LA Family Housing (LAFH) helps individuals and families transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing and supportive services. Serving more than 16,000 people each year—including youth, veterans, seniors, and families—LAFH provides outreach, interim and permanent supportive housing, prevention services, and critical resources that address systemic barriers such as a shortage of affordable housing, poverty, and challenges accessing care. Through the L.A. Works AmeriCorps VISTA Program, LAFH is embarking on a capacity-building project focused on strengthening its social media and communications infrastructure to better support its mission. The VISTA Digital Media & Communications Specialist will develop sustainable systems and long-term strategies for social media engagement, storytelling, and analytics that elevate participant voices, highlight LAFH's work, and increase visibility of homelessness issues.
Member Duties :
The VISTA Digital Media & Communications Specialist will build and strengthen LAFH's communication's capacity to raise awareness of homelessness and housing solutions, and grow community engagement and awareness. They will develop a long-term strategic communications plan, create content libraries and communications templates, and develop analytics tools to expand outreach efforts. They will also develop storytelling systems; collect participant, staff and partner stories; establish media and fundraising communications systems; and create sustainable tools and processes that expand long-term organizational impact.
