Job Description
Position Overview We're looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern to join our growing healthcare organization and support our digital marketing, content creation, and community outreach efforts. This is a 10-15 hour/week internship ideal for a student or recent graduate who wants hands-on experience in social media, content creation, branding, communications, and community engagement. You'll work closely with the Lead Marketing & Outreach Coordinator and gain real-world experience in content strategy, brand development, referral marketing, event marketing, and outreach initiatives while receiving mentorship from the Lead Marketing & Outreach Coordinator. Primary Responsibilities Social Media & Content Creation Create, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X Design graphics, stories, and marketing materials using Canva Assist with content planning and content calendar management Monitor engagement and support online community interaction Community Outreach & Relationship Building Support referral development and community outreach initiatives Maintain outreach databases, resource directories, and marketing trackers Assist with strengthening relationships with community partners and referral sources Participate in online and in-person networking opportunities when appropriate Marketing Analytics & Performance Tracking Complete weekly marketing audits and reporting Track social media, outreach, and marketing performance metrics Identify trends and opportunities for increased engagement and growth Assist with maintaining online directories and business profiles Administrative & Marketing Support Support marketing campaigns, newsletters, special projects, and promotional initiatives Update internal marketing resources and materials Assist with event preparation and community outreach efforts Attend networking events, Lunch & Learns, and community events as schedule permits Preferred Qualifications Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field Strong creative skills and an eye for design, branding, and visual communication Experience with Canva or similar design software preferred Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing best practices Strong written and verbal communication skills Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team Interest in healthcare, mental health, communications, or community outreach is a plus What We're Looking For We care more about curiosity, creativity, and initiative than years of experience.
