Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist for a direct opportunity in Torrance, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
):
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a corporate setting serving in a communications role.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategy & Vision:
    Develop and execute an internal communications strategy that fosters a deep connection to RHC's purpose and journey among manufacturing and office-based employees.
  • Culture Building:
    Design "unique moments" in collaboration with HR that inspires pride and connection among Client employees.
  • Content Creation:
    Produce engaging content across all internal channels, including monthly newsletters, email communications, and digital signage on manufacturing TV monitors.
  • Internal Branding:
    Create and update cohesive templates that reflect our mission, vision, and values while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Event Ownership:
    Lead the planning and execution of our bi-annual Company Town Halls.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership:
    Collaborate closely with HR and PR to ensure unified messaging on company-wide initiatives.
Systems Optimization:
Evaluate and implement modern communication tools to keep our manufacturing and office-based workforce connected.
Strategic Outreach:
Develop innovative communication strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement with the public and local government and business officials
  • Civic Partnerships:
    Build and maintain high-impact relationships with Torrance officials, schools, nonprofits, and the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Public Relations Alignment:
    Coordinate with the PR team to ensure local civic activities align with broader Government Relations goals.
Event Management:
Manage community-facing events, such as
TUSD STEM
Day, Torrance Airport Association gatherings, and other civic activations. •
Factory Tours:
Oversee the Client Factory Tour program for industry partners and the community based on established safety and security criteria.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Accredited College Degree in Communications, Marketing, Psychology or other related degree.
