Interested applicants must apply online by visiting the Denver Public Schools job board at careers.dpsk12.org . •About this job: Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive internal and external communications strategies that keep key audiences informed of the school's mission, vision, priorities and initiatives. Draws upon a wide range of communications disciplines, including media relations, crisis communications, marketing communications, internal communications, online communications, community relations and special events. Coordinates closely with key leaders in the District Communications Office to ensure consistency in messaging and tactics.

Salary Range:

What You'll Do:
Works with school leadership team and District regional marketing manager to identify clear objectives and benchmarks that support enrollment, retention, and positive school culture. Develops and implements strategic marketing and communications plans that inform and engage current students, families, faculty and staff, prospective families, and community partners as appropriate. Establishes sustainable communications standards and practices that span across all school programs, taking into account the school's diverse groups in order to keep current students, families, faculty, and staff informed of activities, events, initiatives, and key decisions affecting the school community. Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders at boundary feeder elementary and middle schools to encourage neighborhood families to promote the school as a strong neighborhood school option in which to enroll their children. Develops and implements retention efforts designed to reinforce students' connection to the school, forges strong student-parent-school bonds, and ensures consistency in enrollment for the following year. Provides content management and frequent updates to the website and social media platforms. Consistently develops and distributes content promoting student achievement and positive school news and activities via neighborhood publications, newsletters, flyers, online forums, District publications, social media, and other outlets.
What You'll Need:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field. Current and valid Colorado driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage, and acceptable driving record for the past three years. A minimum of two (2) years in professional communications, marketing, public relations, or community relations roles. Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us. Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
