Key Responsibilities Answer and process 911 emergency and non-emergency calls Determine call priority and dispatch police, fire, or EMS units Maintain communication with callers during critical incidents Monitor and coordinate field unit activity and status Enter and manage calls using a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system Access and update local, state, and national criminal information databases Provide Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) instructions when needed Coordinate with outside agencies and mutual aid partners Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and public safety communications Support public works and utilities dispatch during off-hours This role requires the ability to multitask, make rapid decisions, and remain calm under high-stress conditions.Minimum Qualifications Required:
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a primary PSAP environment Experience call-taking 911 calls and dispatching law, fire, and EMS High school diploma or GED Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute Must be at least 21 years of agePreferred:
