Talcott is seeking a temporary Communications Specialist to provide leave coverage within the Communications team. This role will focus on day-to-day execution of internal and external communications, ensuring continuity across key channels, content, and events during this timeframe.
Content delivery:
Deliver communications through established channels including email, SharePoint, and social media postings. Manage internal distribution list.Design and multimedia support:
Design and edit visual materials for use on our website, internal sites and social media including management of Corporate Communications web pages through Kinsta and WordPress. Provide support for branding needs consistent with Talcott standards. Support basic video editing and multimedia needs, as required.Content management and development:
Create and edit content in support of internal and external communication initiatives, including employee engagement and change management efforts. Provide writing and editorial support for communications such as articles, emails, digital content to cover content across multiple channels.Event management:
Assist in creating content for large-scale communication events. Includes senior leader presentations and talking points. Assist in event coordination and logistical details to execute in-person and virtual events.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Marketing preferred Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills (writing sample required) Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex concepts Proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation development Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Video editing experience Experience using collaboration and communications tools including SharePoint, Zoom, and Microsoft Office 365 Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast paced environment Collaborative, proactive, and flexible working style Willingness to take initiative and support the team where needed to ensure seamless coverageCompensation:
This range represents the minimum and maximum annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence, and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott's total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives and recognition. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
