GENERAL PURPOSE
Preserve brand integrity and reputation through clear, consistent, and accessible communication across a variety of media and platforms as directed by the Town Manager. Act as the bridge between the town and the community to foster positive relationships and partnerships in the community. Coordinate and manage local events as well as volunteer efforts. Responsible for agenda preparation and dissemination for town council and board meetings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Work alongside Town Manager, Public Works Director, Windermere Police Department Command Staff, Mayor/Town Council, and Boards/Committees to develop a cohesive communication strategy regarding: o Events o Meetings and workshops o Traffic and safety alerts o Emergency management o Projects Coverage for Executive Administrative Assistant front office duties during lunch and vacations. (Should have knowledge of all front office duties) Work alongside Executive Administrative Assistant and Police Department Administrative Assistant to ensure they have the most up to date information to relay to residents who may call, email, or physically visit. Create & distribute agendas and multichannel marketing materials for events, meetings, projects, alerts, and general information regarding the Town in digital and print campaigns across the following platforms: o Website o Email alerts o Social Media o Facebook o Instagram o NextDoor o YouTube o Twitter (create) o Mobile App o Quarterly Gazette o Bulletin Board o Lobby Screens o Agendas o Press Releases| • Event Management Coordinate Town Events including, but not limited to: o WPD Operation Easter Bunny o 4th of July Pancake Breakfast o 9/11 Memorial o Easter Event o Halloween Event o Run Among the Lakes o Assist Executive Assistant with Food Truck Nights as needed o Misc other events • Misc. Staff Events o Staff Christmas Party Support (web, social media, marketing, and/or logistics) Town Events o Farmers Market o Food Truck Nights o Elder Luncheons o WTB Tree Giveaway o 9/11 Memorial o Run Among the Lakes o Halloween Hayride & Costume Parade o Misc other events Perform any other duties assigned by the Town Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position necessitates excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical aptitude. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Power Point and social platforms required. Ability to multi task and meet deadlines with little or no supervision
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field is preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for minimum qualifications.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS
Valid Florida Driver's License Ability to become a Notary Public
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires limited physical effort but may require the occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25lbs. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, Visual acuity (with or without correction), manual dexterity, sufficient hearing (with or without correction) clear and precise verbal communication. (Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability)
