Job Description

The Human Resources Department is seeking a summer employee communications intern for a 10-week internship to support the successful redesign and launch of the refreshed iCobb intranet platform. This intern will provide focused project support during the critical final phase of the iCobb refresh, helping ensure a timely, high-quality launch.

Shift:
Day shift, Monday-Friday , 8 a.m
  • 5 p.m. Working exclusively on the iCobb refresh under the supervision of the Employee Communications Specialist, the intern will: Content migration
  • Transfer and organize existing intranet content into the refreshed platform Content review and cleanup
  • Audit pages for accuracy, consistency, and relevance Page organization
  • Structure navigation and information architecture for improved usability Document management
  • Catalog, update, and properly link documents and resources Quality assurance
  • Test pages for broken links, formatting issues, and accessibility Launch preparation
  • Assist with final readiness tasks and pre-launch checklist Minimum Qualifications Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. A major in communications, digital media, information technology, computer science or web content management, or similar. No prior government experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical/Digital Proficiency:
Basic HTML or web editing, content management systems (CMS) such as
Drupal or Joomla, and Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud, Communications/Content:
Writing and proofreading skills; strong editing abilities; detail-oriented; and strong communication skills to effectively interact with the team.
Proactivity:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Time management and meeting deadlines. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Sensory Requirements Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
