Oceanit is looking for a creative, strategic and data-savvy Multimedia Communications Specialist to join our team. This social media, video and photography role blends storytelling and strategy, ideal for someone who can both create compelling digital content and interpret the analytics behind it. You'll help shape Oceanit's digital voice across social platforms, produce engaging multimedia assets internally, and drive campaigns that inspire, educate, and connect with diverse audiences.

THE VALUE YOU DELIVER

Social Media Strategy and Engagement Develop, implement, and manage an integrated social media strategy to increase engagement and grow audiences. Find compelling ways to drive views on technical subjects. Monitor conversations, trends, and engagement to inform real-time content adjustments. Content Creation and Production Plan, shoot, and produce high-quality videos and photography that highlight Oceanit's projects, events, and people. Create storyboards, scripts, and visual concepts that align with key messaging. Edit and deliver multimedia assets optimized for multiple platforms and audiences. Analytics and Optimization Track performance metrics across social and digital channels using analytics tools. Generate actionable insights to improve content effectiveness and reach. Report on audience growth, engagement, and campaign performance. Collaboration and Brand Alignment Work closely with the marketing and technical teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand voice. Maintain an organized multimedia library and ensure brand consistency across all assets. Support marketing campaigns and company initiatives with coordinated digital efforts.

THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree required; degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field preferred 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, multimedia production, or social media management. Strong proficiency in video production (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), photography, and photo editing (e.g., Photoshop, Lightroom). Familiarity with analytics and scheduling platforms such as Meta Insights, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, or Hootsuite. Understanding of AI and how it works alongside social media best practices for visual storytelling. Ability to translate complex ideas into engaging visual stories for diverse audiences. Strong eye for design, composition, and visual continuity. Strong attention to detail for writing concise and accurate copy. Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach to content creation. Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. Passion for creative problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with motion graphics or animation tools (After Effects, Canva Pro, etc.). Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, or paid social strategies. Familiarity with technical or science-driven subject matter.
