Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Community Liaison to serve as the vital bridge between our organization and the diverse communities we serve. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to foster meaningful relationships, promote community engagement, and support strategic initiatives that enhance our outreach efforts. As a Community Liaison, you will be at the forefront of building trust, facilitating communication, and advocating for community needs through proactive engagement and strategic partnerships. Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, local leaders, and stakeholders to promote collaboration and mutual understanding. Organize and participate in community events, outreach programs, and public meetings to represent our organization's mission and initiatives. Manage social media platforms and online channels to share updates, highlight community stories, and foster active engagement. Serve as a spokesperson by delivering presentations, public speeches, and informational sessions to diverse audiences. Collect data on community needs, feedback, and engagement metrics to inform program development and strategic planning. Coordinate volunteer programs, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition efforts. Support fundraising activities by engaging with donors, developing outreach campaigns, and identifying new business development opportunities. Requirements Proven experience in media relations, public speaking, or public relations roles with excellent communication skills. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively serve diverse populations. Strong background in social media management and social media marketing strategies. Knowledge of marketing principles combined with experience in community or volunteer management. Ability to develop strategic plans, manage budgets, and execute data collection initiatives effectively. Demonstrated success in business development efforts related to community engagement or nonprofit sectors. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across different cultural backgrounds. Prior experience in fundraising or donor relations is a plus.
