Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates content development and community collaboration for various initiatives in alignment with Pikeville Medical Center's (PMC's) communication strategy and organizational mission, vision and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Maintain periodic production of digital and print materials for various initiatives. 2. Research and cooperate with relevant leaders and subject matter experts to develop relevant content. 3. Facilitate distribution of periodic digital and print materials internally and externally. 4. Act as a liaison for and manage or assist in the management of cooperative events with outside entities and internal personnel. 5. Provide support and coordination to other departments related to various communications initiatives. 6. Maintain a calendar of related events and provide updates to PMC leadership. 7. Collaborate with other departments to secure resources and space for events as appropriate. 8. Manage relationships, correspondence, and documents in a timely manner. 9. Assist with daily operations for communication platform systems and technologies. 10. Assist with internal communication and engagement initiatives as directed. 11. Adhere to the dress code and hospital policies related to infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines. 12. Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with the hospital code of conduct and corporate policies. 13. Maintain patient confidentiality and treat patients and their families with respect. 14. Function as a preceptor to orient new employees and perform other related duties as assigned. 15. Performs other related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in well-lighted business office environment the majority of the time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Experience with basic graphic design preferred
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Training in English, communications, marketing, community development or a related field required, or equivalent education and experience. High school education or equivalent education required.
