Performs technical duties and analytical work pertaining to the planning, development, acquisition, testing, integrion, installion, utilizion, or modificion of telecommunicions systems, facilities, services, and procedures. Evalues, analyzes, develops, manages, and improves communicions systems, procedures, and requirements in regards to future trends in communicions concepts and technology. Reviews and analyzes Telecom Service Requests for FAA Operional and Administrive Network to assure compliance with FAA Nional Telecom Orders. Responsible for using required telecom hardware/software to develop, track, and maintain telecom service informion. Must be familiar with circuit ordering systems such as GSA and vendor voice and da ordering processes. Serves on technical committees and work groups responsible for reviewing technical drawings and making recommendions associed with the construction of new buildings and building renovions the WJHTC. Acts as a liaison between Telecommunicions and Space Management, Lab Services, IT, Engineering, Tenant Organizions, and various other customers to ensure open communicion and validion of requirements for customers telecom needs. Acts as a Department Agency Representive Administror (DAR) for WJHTC on various Nional telecommunicions contracts for voice/da. DAR accepts telecommunicions service orders and completion of service orders for vendors. Acts as COR or alterne COR on local contracts for telecommunicions services. Acts as TOR for WJHTC on Nional contracts for contractor support/services. Assist the lead or manager with telecommunicions planning, implemention, program management, and managing projects reled to all aspects of telecommunicions programs, systems, and procedures for the Technical Center. May serve as a credit card holder for the Facilities Operions and Maintenance Section ANG-E331 and is the liaison between the Telecommunicions function and finance/fund certifier to assure approprie project reled funding.
Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the limited direction of a manager, project/ program manager, team leader, or more experienced technical specialist. May act as a contributing specialist on large work activities or as a team leader for single or small work activities. Applies experience and advanced technical knowledge applicable to his/her discipline to accomplish assignments and to develop plans and techniques to improve programs and policies. Understands how his/her technical area interacts with or is affected by other disciplines and considers the objectives of the major subdivision and LOB/SO when developing, integring, and implementing solutions to diverse, complex problems.
