Salary - Exempt The Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role, with a focus on creating compelling content, managing social media channels, creating successful, digital and print, marketing campaigns. Additionally, identify trends and insights from data to improve strategy and storytelling, produce newsletters, and other communications efforts.
Qualifications:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Work experience that demonstrates knowledge, initiative, self-motivation and follow-through Proficiency with social media Associate's degree or higher in Marketing and/or Communications, with at least 3 years experience Strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to consistently meet deadlines Develop, cultivate, and maintain a network of freelance creative professionals to support the organization's marketing, communications, branding, and creative initiatives. Identify, engage, and coordinate external talent to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality projects that align with organizational goals and brand standards. Understanding of or experience with non-profit organizations Familiarity with SEO best practices Responsibilities include: Drafting and distributing press releases, articles, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, website content and internal communications that align with the organization's voice and goals, adapting content for various platforms and marketing purposes. Implement and manage social media strategies across platforms, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers monitoring channel activity and paid advertising. Perform proactive and routine website updates, optimize website content, ensure accuracy, and SEO best practices timeliness. Commission, solicit, catalog, organize, and store visual assets including photos, videos, and graphics. Develop and manage annual and monthly editorial and integrated communications calendars Identify, cultivate, and coordinate sponsorship opportunities that advance the organization's strategic goals. Manage the execution of sponsorship commitments, including event planning and attendance, on-site setup, promotional activities, coordination of staff participation, and the timely submission of sponsorship materials, including logo files, advertisements, and other required assets. Provide on-site support for special events, including the Garden Party, donor receptions, panel discussions and other CFHV events. Coordinate with staff to execute an event plan including a strategic marketing plan, promotional materials, budget, timeline required resources; coordinate with vendors, sponsors volunteers to ensure all elements are in place.
Media and PR Outreach:
Maintain media lists, pitch stories, coordinate interviews, and manage inquiries. Strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination and regularly report on key metrics related to communications and marketing efforts, such as website traffic, social media engagement, email performance media coverage. Collect and analyze data to evaluate marketing campaigns. Develop reports and presentations to communicate data findings to the marketing team; Manage data entry and database maintenance procedures; Identify target audience and prepare campaign mailing lists. Propose and coordinate opportunities for executive visibility, including interviews, event appearances, panel programs and other regional engagement opportunities. Schedule all photo and video shoots including collecting permission from those featured; if featuring clients from nonprofits or scholarship recipients, collect relevant paperwork. Work with established guidelines and templates to create compelling visual presentations for meetings, events, and more. Manage the creation and distribution of CFHV's branded material, collateral, and stationery inventory (including business cards), ensuring they are up-to-date and in stock and perform routine publication updates. Manage the production of the Annual Report and other publications.

Salary Range:
The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 to $59,000, commensurate with experience. The position includes a comprehensive employee benefits package that includes paid time off benefits; health, dental, and vision insurance (with 100% of health premiums paid by CFHV for the employee); and a 401(k)-retirement plan with a 3% safe harbor contribution. CFHV employees may work up to 2 days remotely after a successful 90 day probationary period.
