Summer 2026 About PCDA The Ponca City Development Authority is dedicated to fostering economic growth, community development, and opportunity throughout the Ponca City region. We work alongside local businesses, residents, and partners to tell the story of our community and build a thriving future together. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in marketing, communications, and community outreach. Position Summary We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated intern who loves connecting with people and telling compelling stories. In this role, you'll support our marketing and communications team with a variety of digital and administrative tasks — from managing our Love Ponca website and social media presence to organizing data that helps us better serve the Ponca City community. If you're a quick learner who takes initiative, pays attention to detail, and follows through on what you start, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Update and maintain the PCDA Weebly website with current content, images, and organizational information Conduct outreach via email to gather survey responses and collect community stories for use in social media ad campaigns Write and compile engaging story content for social media marketing initiatives Schedule and manage mass email communications on behalf of the organization Gather data relevant to our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and accurately input information into the system Support the team with general communications and administrative tasks as needed What We're Looking For We value character and enthusiasm as much as experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities: A natural storyteller — you love finding the human angle and communicating it clearly and creatively A quick learner — you pick up new tools, platforms, and tasks with ease and confidence Strong typing skills and comfort working on a computer for extended periods Sharp attention to detail — you catch errors others miss and take pride in accurate, polished work Follow-through — you see tasks from start to finish without needing constant reminders A self-starter — you take initiative, manage your time well, and don't wait to be told what to do next Basic familiarity with email platforms, social media, and web tools is a plus
