•Job Details:
General Notes Dell Medical School is seeking a Communications Program Coordinator for TCMHP. This is a state-funded position sponsored by the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC). TCMHCC was created by the 86th Texas Legislature to leverage the expertise and capacity of the health-related institutions of higher education to address urgent mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in this state in relation to children, adolescents, and perinatal women. The University of Texas Dell Medical School is a Health-Related Institution (HRI) for the TCMHCC. This position has an end date of 8/31/2027, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress towards goals. This position will be assigned as a remote position with an expectation to work on-site for some of the scheduled work week, which will require that you work and live in central Texas. Remote work will require reliable internet access and a suitable workspace free from distractions. DMS HR will contact employees to confirm location of residence and work location is allowable by UT standards. Failing to accurately report work location may result in revocation of approval of Flexible Work Arrangement and/or other disciplinary action. Candidates selected for interviews will be asked to submit three samples of newsletters, website pages, flyers/brochures, or other relevant content they significantly contributed to creating. Required Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Graphic design, Marketing Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field with at least 3 year(s) of experience in communications, marketing, or public affairs. Proven ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, audience‑appropriate communications. Proficiency in designing high‑quality visual materials using design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other CMS platform). Experience managing digital content, including website updates and content management systems (e.g., WordPress). Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate workflows across teams. Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with subject matter experts and external vendors. Relevant education or experience may be substituted as appropriate Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field with at least 5 year(s) of experience in healthcare or nonprofit setting. Experience with marketing tools, content management systems, and analytics tools. Experience supporting healthcare, behavioral health, public health, education, or nonprofit programs. Experience using digital communication and data systems, including CMS and CRM platforms such as Mailchimp, WordPress, and Salesforce. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Kanbanchi, or similar platforms). Proficiency with file storage and collaboration platforms, including Box, Google Drive, SharePoint/OneDrive, or comparable systems. Experience working in multi‑institutional, cross‑program, or consortium‑based communication environments. Familiarity with applying and maintaining branding guidelines across multiple institutions or initiatives. Familiarity with Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium programs (CPAN, PeriPAN, TCHATT
) or comparable mental health access initiatives. Knowledge of state or local mental health systems, policy frameworks, or systems of care. Certified Communications Professional (CCP) Project Management Professional (PMP) Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) Certification in digital marketing or analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) Salary Range $51,750 + depending on qualifications Working Conditions Standard office equipment.
