The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About this position:
This position serves as the communications strategist and business process owner for the division and is solely responsible for all quality control, efficiency enhancement, process oversight, analysis, planning and statistical monitoring of process improvement for the division which has a significant impact on the office. This position is required to be the designated process specialist for operations as well as special projects. This position is also responsible for providing insight on policy issues as well as serving as a primary communicator between internal staff, State agency key contacts and management.

Position Location:
This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Experience Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level. Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications Equivalent combinations of nonprofessional experience, identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service that are represented by subclass codes, will be accepted for classified, professional experience equivalent to the P11-level and above. The nonprofessional experience must be related to departmental programs and services that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Certain positions may be assigned subclass codes and individuals appointed must possess the required specialized experience.
