Job Description

The Marketing Communications Intern will support GSACPCs marketing, communications, and outreach initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, content creation, and copywriting. This paid, 25-hour-per-week internship works closely with the marketing team.

Director, MarComFLSA Status:
Part-Time, Non-ExemptEssential Functions Assignments are based on team priorities and seasonal needs.

Draft social media content that aligns with the Girl Scout brand (voice, design, tone, etc.).Draft and/or edit marketing materials, emails, Girl Scout Connections magazine articles and website copy.

Assist with storytelling efforts by gathering program updates, participant stories, photos, and testimonials.

Monitor social media engagement and compile basic performance reports.

Support content creative projects, event promotion and community outreach efforts.

Perform other marketing and communications duties as assigned.

Preferred QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.

Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Passion for nonprofit work and community impact.

Physical AbilitiesAble to lift 25+ lbs., sit at a computer for three consecutive hours, stand for 2+ hours/day, climb stairs daily.

Able to work evenings and weekends, when necessary.

Valid AZ drivers license.
