Job Description Marketing Communications Specialist
Location:
Hybrid (Denver/Lone Tree, CO or Richfield, OH; onsite 3-4 days per week) Duration - 12 Months About the
Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for executing communication strategies, managing projects, and enhancing the participant experience through creative and effective communication solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances multiple projects seamlessly, and contributes to a culture of innovation, engagement, and fun.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication Execution:
Receive, review, and create client-facing communications; deploy digital assets effectively.
Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing communications and client-facing teams to develop and evaluate solutions supporting plan sponsor communication strategies and participant experiences.
Efficiency & Impact:
Advise business partners on optimizing resources to achieve communication goals.
Project Management:
Manage communication requests from start to finish, including proofs, content review, edits and approvals, and fulfillment via digital or print within deadlines.
Planning & Documentation:
Create and execute well-documented plans; communicate clearly with partners and set/manage expectations for each project.
Trend Analysis:
Identify and share trends to enhance participant experiences and improve efficiency and scalability.
Culture Contribution:
Support change management, team evolution, and personal growth while contributing to a positive and engaging team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong project and time management abilities; able to manage multiple projects and drive them to completion efficiently. Detail-oriented with a high-achievement orientation and a sense of urgency. Exceptional relationship-building skills; able to influence and motivate without formal authority. Data-curious; leverages business insights to drive participant outcomes. Experience in marketing communications, preferably in financial services or other highly regulated industries. Familiarity with enterprise project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Jira, or similar). Positive demeanor, sense of humor, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with multiple deadlines.
