Telecommunications Safety Specialist (Field & Compliance)

UniTek Global Services is seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to support and promote a safe working environment across all divisions. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal safety standards while helping build a proactive, safety-focused culture.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of inspections, incident reports, training and certification records to ensure compliance with all safety‑related regulations. Provide guidance to employees on preventing and reducing safety incidents. Deliver ongoing safety training to reinforce safe work practices and promote a strong safety mindset across the organization. Conduct regular onsite safety audits for both in‑house employees and subcontractors. Participate in OSHA and other safety certification courses as assigned. Support various safety initiatives and perform additional duties as needed. Education & Experience Associate degree in Safety Management or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in occupational safety & health preferred. At least 2 years of telecommunications experience and 2 years of safety‑related experience preferred. Skills & Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of safety practices and equipment in the communications industry. Solid understanding of federal and state DOT requirements. Ability to build positive working relationships with field personnel and vendors. Technical Competencies Knowledge of OSHA regulatory standards and risk management principles. Experience in safety engineering or environmental protection is a plus. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Ability to solve complex issues accurately and efficiently. Salary Range:
