Job Description

The Skagit Valley Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly organized, people-oriented professional to join our team as Membership & Communications Coordinator. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating with a wide variety of people, supporting community programs, and helping local businesses succeed. Working approximately 30 hours per week, the Coordinator serves as a key member of the Chamber team by managing member communications, supporting programs and events, coordinating Visitor Center volunteers, assisting members, and providing administrative support. Key Responsibilities Produce the Chamber's weekly e-bulletin and monthly newsletter Maintain website content and tourism communications Coordinate and promote membership programs Support Chamber events and special projects Train and support Visitor Center volunteers Assist members in person, by phone, and by email Process basic accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Qualifications Strong communication and writing skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt Preferred QuickBooks experience Experience in customer service, communications, tourism, nonprofits, or membership organizations Compensation $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
