Digital Director/Manager United States Senate - 4.4 Washington, DC Job Details $70,000 - $90,000 a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Crisis management Full Job Description Senator Elissa Slotkin Washington, District of Columbia The Office of Senator Elissa Slotkin is looking for a Digital Director or Manager (commensurate with experience) to work with the Communications Director to oversee the Senator's social media platforms and to implement the digital program. This role operates as a utility player within the Communications team to help share the Senator's message and vision with Michiganders and Americans online across multiple channels totaling more than 1.2 million followers. This role includes editing videos, photos, and graphics. This position reports directly to the Communications Director and collaborates with the full Communications team.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee, organize, and manage the day-to-day social media calendar. Direct, produce, and edit videos that align with the Senator's vision and priorities. Staff, film, and travel with the Senator to events in Washington, D.C. and in Michigan (as necessary). Work with influencers and build out digital partnerships to expand the Senator's digital audience. Assist in all rapid response efforts, prepare for breaking news, and manage the creative projects that will lead the Senator's response.
Qualifications:
Strong video editing and graphic design experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. The ability to be flexible and adjust priorities and projects with the political news landscape. Experience managing the voice of an organization or public figure. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
Experience with creative content development for social media, or similar background (e.g. in video editing, graphic design, photography, etc.). Ability to work well in a fast-paced and highly collaborative team environment. Ability to manage crises and adapt quickly. Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a desire to learn new tools and technologies.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $70,000-$90,000 with standard U.S. Government employee benefits.
