About NFUSA Neighborhood Farms USA is a nonprofit building a national network of community-based farms that improve food access, strengthen local economies, and regenerate the land. Through storytelling, education, and hands-on projects, including community gardens, farmer training programs, and grant programs, we highlight the people and impact behind the growing movement of neighborhood-scale agriculture. Role Overview We're looking for a creative, hands-on freelance content creator to help document and share our work on the ground. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the field, filming, interviewing, and capturing real moments, then turning that into engaging social media content. What You'll Be Working On Community gardens and local farm sites Grant recipients and impact stories Mini Farm & Learning Lab Farmer Training Program Events, workshops, and fundraisers Key Responsibilities Content Creation Capture photo and video content on-site Conduct simple interviews with participants and partners Document case studies and community stories Editing & Production Edit short-form videos (Reels, Stories) Add captions, music, and light branding Organize and maintain a content library Social Media Schedule and post content Write captions aligned with NFUSA's voice Engage with the online community Strategy Support Identify storytelling opportunities Collaborate on content ideas and campaigns Requirements Experience in content creation, videography, or social media Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Reels, etc.) Ability to shoot high-quality content (phone or camera) Experience with short-form content (Reels) Strong storytelling instincts and attention to detail Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
