We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Marketing & Photography Intern to support our marketing team with a focus on visual content creation and social media execution. Responsibilities:
Social Media Content & Supoort Assist with creating content for Midwest Foods' social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, and others as needed) Draft captions and short-form copy aligned with brand voice and seasonal themes Help build and maintain a social content calendar Support posting, scheduling, and light community engagement Assist with capturing real-time content at events, farm visits, or company activations Photography & Visual Content Capture and style photos of produce, prepared foods, events, and behind-the-scenes moments for use across social media, website, and marketing materials Edit and format photos for digital use while maintaining brand consistency Organize and upload photo assets to shared folders (Dropbox) for easy team access Collaborate with the marketing team on shot lists and creative direction Applicants should be prepared to share a photography portfolio or examples of relevant work. Creative & Design Support Design simple social graphics and marketing assets using Canva Edit or assist in designing point of sale materials Potential exposure to Adobe InDesign and Photoshop for light design and photo editing support Assist with updating or resizing existing marketing materials for different platforms Strategy Exposure & Collaboration Contribute ideas during content planning and brainstorm sessions Learn how social content supports broader marketing strategy, seasonal priorities, and sales initiatives Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to understand the full foodservice ecosystem
Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Photography, Design, or a related field Strong interest in photography, food, and visual storytelling Comfortable using or eager to learn Canva; familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is a plus Strong writing skills for short-form copy and captions Organized, reliable, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Curious, collaborative, and open to feedback
What We Offer:
