Position Summary We are seeking a creative, self-motivated Content Creator & Social Media Specialist to help bring our brands to life across multiple Midwest markets. This role is responsible for capturing, creating, editing, and publishing engaging content that highlights our people, services, community involvement, events, and company culture across digital platforms. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in social media trends, video production, photography, and Adobe Creative Suite, while also being comfortable traveling independently throughout our 14 service territories to capture authentic, high-quality content in the field. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who thrives on creativity, storytelling, and real-time content creation. Key Responsibilities
- Travel throughout company service territories across the Midwest to capture photos, videos, interviews, event coverage, customer stories, and behind-the-scenes content
- Create engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Edit short-form and long-form videos optimized for various channels and audiences
- Capture and edit professional-quality photography for digital marketing campaigns, website use, recruiting efforts, and community partnerships
- Assist in developing and maintaining a consistent visual brand presence across all marketing channels
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns, sponsorships, community events, and regional initiatives
- Create content calendars and assist with social media scheduling and publishing
- Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content styles to keep the company's digital presence fresh and competitive
- Support website and blog content initiatives through visual storytelling and multimedia assets
- Organize and maintain digital media libraries and content assets
- Occasionally assist with live event coverage during evenings or weekends as needed Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in content creation, social media management, digital marketing, videography, or related field
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, and/or After Effects
- Strong understanding of current social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and best practices
- Experience capturing and editing short-form video content for reels, TikTok-style content, and social campaigns
- Strong photography and videography skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel regularly throughout Midwest service territories Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing branded social media accounts
- Drone photography/videography experience
- Experience covering live events or community activations
- Basic graphic design experience
