Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative AEM Content Author / Digital Content Specialist to join our Digital Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing the day-to-day authoring, publishing, and maintenance of digital content across State Street s global corporate websites and secure client portals. You will transform design concepts and copy into polished, functional web pages using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), while ensuring strict adherence to global compliance, brand standards, and web accessibility rules.
Key Responsibilities Web Page Production:
Build, update, and launch high-quality web pages using AEM Touch UI, utilizing pre-built templates, core components, and experience/content fragments. Digital Asset Management (DAM): Upload, organize, and maintain digital assets (images, PDFs, videos, and legal disclosures) within AEM Assets. Ensure proper metadata tagging and SEO alt-text are applied. Multi-Site Management (MSM): Manage localized content across various global regions and languages using AEM s Multi-Site Management and translation workflows, ensuring content consistency worldwide.
Governance & Compliance Workflows:
Route pages through mandatory compliance, legal, and editorial approval workflows before moving content from the Author environment to the Live/Publish environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with UI/UX designers, copywriters, product marketers, and AEM developers to troubleshoot component bugs and optimize the user journey.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
Perform thorough staging reviews and post-publish smoke testing across multiple browsers and mobile viewports to ensure seamless responsive behavior and layout accuracy.
Accessibility Compliance:
Ensure all authored content adheres strictly to web accessibility standards ( WCAG 2.1 AA compliance).
Required Skills & Qualifications Education:
Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, English, or a related field.
Core Experience:
2 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing content within Adobe Experience Manager (v6.5 or AEM Cloud Service) .
Web Basics:
Strong fundamental knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 to troubleshoot minor layout or text formatting anomalies within components.
SEO Best Practices:
Basic understanding of on-page SEO principles, including proper heading hierarchies (H1, H2, H3), metadata management, and keyword layouts.
Workflow Mastery:
Proven experience working in staging/production environments and moving content through multi-tier approvals.
Tools:
Familiarity with agile project management tools like Jira and Confluence for tracking content tickets and updates. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Certifications:
Adobe Qualified /
Certified Professional:
AEM Sites Content Author .
Industry Experience:
Prior experience in Financial Services, Fintech, Banking, or Asset Management is highly preferred due to the complex regulatory environment.
Adobe Suite Integration:
Basic familiarity with Adobe Target (for basic personalization tests) and Adobe Analytics (for monitoring page performance).
