Media & Web Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

This role combines technical expertise and creative digital media design to support BGCWN serving youth and families across Western Nevada. We are looking for an individual who is familiar with working on web architecture and updates while also producing social media content that aligns with digital trends and the mission of the organization. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Website & Digital Development (40%)

• Maintain and update website content and functionality
• Implement website edits, improvements, and coding (HTML/CSS or platform-based)
• Improve user experience, mobile responsiveness, and navigation
• Build landing pages, forms, and campaign-specific web pages
• Monitor website analytics and recommend performance improvements Content Creation & Social Media (30%)
• Create, schedule, and publish social media content across platforms
• Design graphics, short-form videos, reels, and digital storytelling content
• Capture and edit photo and video content from programs and events
• Maintain a consistent and engaging brand presence online
• Stay current on social media trends and digital engagement strategies Marketing & Event (20%)
• Support digital promotion of fundraising events, campaigns, etc.
• Assist with email marketing and newsletters
• Design digital flyers, event graphics, and promotional materials
• Collaborate on campaign messaging and storytelling initiatives. Miscellaneous & General Support (10%)
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

To best perform duties and responsibilities, the following skills and qualifications are required:

• Experience managing websites (WordPress or similar platforms)
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS or comparable web tools
• Experience creating social media content and managing digital platforms
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar design tools
• Strong understanding of digital branding and user experience
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
